At times I see myself as much of a problem solver as a designer. Because while I think almost any good designer is a problem solver first, I don't necessarily believe every problem solver is a good designer.
Presented with design challenges I try to get as much data as I can (*who *what *when *where *why *how, preferably over a beer) before delving in. It may sound like I'm researching for a story or trying to find a narrative.
Yes.
I want to inspire clients with my work. To do that I want to know what inspires them to pursue theirs. They often get even less sleep than I do and it’s a privilege being part of it.
Because inspiration is something you can bottle. It's contagious. It affects the people around it. Just being in its vicinity can change your mindset, breeding confidence, growth and new ideas.
When you haven't gone very far it's easy to take one step and get to a place you've never been to before. After that big strides become more difficult. This is one of the many ways I've found to get there.
